Chelsea Nordiq Ski Swap

This is our club's biggest fundraiser and it usually takes place in November.  It's a fantastic way to get out and meet other members of the club while helping with an event that draws people from the entire Ottawa/Gatineau region.

Organizing Committee

Chief of Swap

    -Head of the Ski Swap responsible for organizing committee, working with other chiefs and making sure that the project stays on task.

Ski Swap Treasurer

    -Responsible for creating a process for recording incomes and expenses 

    -Produces a financial report at end of swap to report on income and expenses

    -Ensure cash is secured during event using a safe or cash boxes etc

    -Arrange for Cash Machine to be available

    -Arrange for credit and debit machines for cashiers

    -Address taxation issues related to swap

Gear Check-in/Out

Chief of Vendors

    -Responsible for communicating with vendors and rep

    -Responsible for assisting vendors understand gear check in/out and cash in/out processes

    -Responsible for ensuring sufficient volunteers available to help vendor gear check in and cash out

Chief of Gear Check-in/out

    -Responsible for organizing Friday and Saturday gear check in making sure all private equipment is correctly marked and recorded

    -Responsible for ensuring all equipment (markers, tags, tape, string, binders, pens etc) is available

    -Responsible for gear return on Saturday night and there is a clear process for sellers to retrieve their unsold equipment. Work closely with chief of cashiers       to ensure volunteers understand process

    -Responsible for ensuring sufficient volunteers are trained for this task.
