Bonsoir à tous,

The organizers have reversed the order of start.  The Master are now starting first which mean the first RR is now starting at 9h58.  Good news, you can sleep longer!!  Here’s the new arrival time:

MIDGETS:  8h45

ALL Others: 9h30

You can also consult the start list on Zone 4 at to see the exact start time.   The rest of the plan stays the same.

Bibs volunteers, Please come and see Francois once you arrive.  You can show up according to your child’s arrival time.

Coaches:  The course will no longer be available for warm-up.  Please use the warm-up area and trail 29 along the forest.

Merci à tous et désolé pour le changement.

Bonjour à tous,

Great practice in the cold last night. The kids are getting excited about their first race of the season. The forecast looks promising.  We will be in great numbers (see list in attachment).  Here's the plan for the day:

7h45 Arrival
7h45-8h00 Report to your coach and get your bib: Mike Nahir and ? will be there to distribute the bibs for CN.  We need one more person to help Mike
8h15-9h00 warm-up and wax adjustment

9h00 Race time- Atom first

11h30ish Classic race should be over.  Pick-up time for all kids except midgets who are partcipating in the skate race

13h00: Skate race starts for midgets only

The coaches are responsible to show the course and make sure the kids are lined up and on time. Catherine Verreault will be at the start line to help for the start and finish and to manage the clothes. We also encourage the kids to cheer for their team mates once their race is over.  The coaches will bring them on the course after, time permitting.

Midgets:  The Midgets are scheduled to do their second race starting at 13h00.  Therefore we recommand to bring snacks and food. We suggest that they eat right after their morning race.  Food is alo available at the Relais.  The Midget coaches and others will help making sure they are ready for their race including waxing.

Waxing: Maurice, Vic, Stew, Len, Francois, Mario and others will take care of the waxing. Please note that you are responsible to prepare the skis for your kids.  You may have seen an e-mail today explaining to bring the skis without wax.  Please ignore.    Waxing on site will only fine tune the kick wax if required. Our Head coach waxing recommandation at this point is Swix Violet for kick and LF or CH 7 Violet for glide.  However, because the weather prediction for tomorrow keeps changing on us, Moe will send a wax recommandation update tomorrow morning by 6h30ish.  MIDGETS:  If you want your skis prepared tonight, you can also refer to Stew & Vic's offer sent earlier today.  There is a fee for this service.

Volunteers (based on answers received so far):

-Warm-up and cheering on the course and ski after:  Coaches

-Bib management:  Mike Nahir  &  ?  We are missing two person.  It is a 20 minute job and you can enjoy the rest of the race after.  Must report at 7h45 sharp.  Please contact François.

-Start/Finish line: Catherine Verreault & Josée Guérin

-Waxing team:  Vic, Stew, Mario, François, Moe, Len and others…..Stop by if you want to help.

Clothing:  Make sure your child is wearing outer layers that can be removed for the race.

Parents are more then welcome to come and cheers for Chelsea Nordiq.  That's all for now.  Looking forward to see you all tomorrow.
