Training June 25th to July 1st

posted Jun 25, 2012, 7:34 AM by Maurice Moe Samm   [ updated Jun 28, 2012, 11:58 AM ]

This is week 8 in our yearly training program, this means that it is a recovery week. This week has the least volume of the cycle and a little more than last block. The training program is set up to build you little by little, it should be rare that you feel as though you are totally destroyed after a work out. If you are than your recovery time is going to be longer which will affect the next training. We will be focusing on pacing, strength and roller ski technique. We also have Owl Camp this week so there will be a good chance to train and have fun for those that are going.

Amazing camp at Owl, we did some good roller skiing, strength training, jumping off high rocks, rafting and team building. Those that took videos and pictures can you post them in a way tat we can all look at. I would love to see the videos of the rock jumping. My favorite memory form the camp was roller skiing to the rafting put in with Mike and seeing everyone arriving at similar times and saying how much fun their roller ski was. We did 18kms and many thought that this was not very difficult, it shows me how much that you are growing and developing.

Southern Ontario Training Camp is Aug 25 - 29th in hardwood hills, here is a link to the camp flyer so far this is all of the information available, I will post more when I get it.  http://www.xco.org/hp/temporar/12-08-30_SOD_Campflyer-Final.pdf
