Week 8 , This is a recovery week.
Sunday June 29th, training is going to be a biathlon race. This will be a fun opportunity for X-C and club members to try out biathlon. All club members are invited. We'll have people arrive at 9am for a brief safety/shooting lesson (air rifles), and race start will be 10 am (individual starts). All non-biathletes will be on air rifles for safety/legal reasons. There is a Quebec Biathlon Camp happening this week end so there is going to be some really good biathletes here. Entry fee is $5. It is going to be awesome and a fun way to support our biathletes.
We need volunteers for this event so please, if you are able to stick around and help after dropping off your athlete we would appreciate it.

Penguin column is from P8 to top of penguin hill on the park way
Pen to p5 column is from top of penguin to under the over pass
p5 to Dave is from the over pass to the top of the next hill Nakkertok calls this Dave's Hill after Dave Mallory
Dave to Mica is from the top of Daves hill to 200m before the Mica gate

Activity: Roller ski to the movies (8-12km), we will start at Relais Plein air and roller ski to star cite on the bike paths, it is Cheap Tuesday at the theatre so movies are $6 plus tax. There is a choice of movies to see, I will be watching X-men: Days of future past.

Activity: Ski bounding intervals 8 x 60 secs 45 sec zone 3 and 15 sec zone 5 2min rest please bring ski bounding poles

Sunday, June 29th
Activity: Biathlon Running Race 5km for over 15 and 3km for under 15. At 9am registration and there will be shooting lessons and range instructions. Race will start at 10am at 11am or so we will go for a 60min zone 1 hike run to finish the training.
Location: Biathlon Range please camp below and run up.
Time: 9am to 12noon
