This is a race week for Nordiq that are at Nakkertok for Eastern Canadian Championships  and Biathlon is in La Patrie for Easterns Canadian Championships. 

Amazing racing this week end. I am very proud of all of you some really good racing, Chelsea Nordiq earned over 35 medals, lots of personal bests and 7 people qualified for Jeux de Quebec the biggest JDQ team we have ever had.

We will practice at Nakkertok on Thursday Evening, your skate race skis will be left on site in our waxing facilities with your base glide wax applied and scraped brushed. Looking at the long range foceast the base wax will likely be Swix LF4 green, I will update this on Wednesday. It is planning on being a very cold week end so dress warm, and think through how to stay warm while you race at cold temps, forecast of -16 for saturday and -18 for Sunday  so tape for your face, Vaseline, wind briefs, wind vests, fleece buffs, mitts. Lucky for us we have raced in many cold races already this so we are prepared and our lungs have had time to adapt to the cold. 

Eastern’s is a three day race event, Sprint/3km prologue, middle distance interval skate and mass start distance classic. I recommend that everyone race all three races unless you have a significant conflict (tests) on friday. Here is the link for race information http://cecski.ca
