Happy New Year!

Nordic athletes, this is our last full week of training before the first

Q-cup. As coaches we are going to be heavily emphasizing the quality of your

skiing as well as your focus during practice.

Biathletes leaving for Trials and racing this week, now is the time to stand up tall,

breathe in confidence and know that you've done the work. Now is the fun part :)

Your focus this week is feeling fast and carrying yourselves with confidence.


Technical Focus: Race Prep + Transitions

Mental Focus: Confidence




Tuesday, Jan 3

Activity: Zone 4 interval ladder

30s, 2mins, 3mins, 3mins, 2mins, 30s (equal rest)

Technique: skate

Location: p2 (RPA)

Time: 6:30-8:00pm


Notes: *Because of the potential freezing rain, I think this will be the best starting place.


Thursday, Jan 5

Activity: Zone 4 interval ladder

30s, 2mins, 3mins, 3mins, 2mins, 30s (equal rest)

OR accelerations depending on feel and if you are racing this weekend

Technique: skate

Location: Camp Fortune

Time: 6:30-8:00pm
