Training August 19 to 25

This is week 18 in our yearly training plan. It is a building week, the focus of this week will be distance, strength and agility.

Two excellent training camps at Owl. I was very please with the level of training, fun and team spirit in both camps. So highlights for me were skiing to the put in, rafting, cliff jumping, teaching the juveniles to dance, swimming and watching the teams bond. 

Next week we have our training times change to our fall winter times, Tuesday, Thursday  for cegep/universty, 6:30-8pm for High School and Juveniles. Saturday 8-10 for Juniors, 10-12 for juveniles Sunday 9-12 Juniors and Juveniles

Next saturday training will be a running race at camp fortune. This running race is a fundraiser for Zeke Williams, Dominic Moncion-Groulx and Seb Townsend.  There is a 3 and 6km run. I think that this is a good fundraiser for good people within our ski community. Here is the link to the registration page https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=5170and they

Location: Biathlon Range

Time: 6pm

Wednesday August 28 juveniles and midgets morning practice

Activity: Strength Training for younger than 1997, bring $5 for gym fee

Location: Chelsea Gym, Meredith Centre

Time: 9-11am 

Wednesday August 28  Juniors only

Activity: Strength Training for older than 1997, bring $5 for gym fee

Location: Chelsea Gym, Meredith Centre

Time: 6-7:30pm

Thursday August 29

Activity: Classic for those that have them or Skate Roller ski agility and intervals

Location: P8 

Time: 6-8pm  

Friday August 30 Midget and Juvenile

Activity: Practice Cancelled as most are back in school
