Welcome back!! This Tuesday (September 19th) we have a mandator team meeting. This meeting is to discuss seasonal logistics. The athlete and at least one parent must be present. The meeting will be held at Chalet des Erables (ziplane parking lot) from 6:30 - 8pm. We will have the gates open so feel free to drive up.

This post contains training up until our summer / fall session break starting Saturday September 2nd.

Seasonal break: We are taking a seasonal break while everyone is adjusting with back to school. I will also be away in Canmore during this time for a coaching course. Our break is from September 2nd - 12th. During this time there is no planned practice, you are still required to follow your training plans and dry fire! Use this time as self training. Work on what you would like, running, getting into the gym regularly..etc.

Shooting training plan:

Intensity!
We are beginning to get into a phase were shooting intensity (combo) is becoming more of a priority. Saturday is going to be our "intensity day" for biathlon. Moe, Katie and I have structured it so biathletes will do their running intensity on Saturday instead of Tuesday. As your coaches we will be very conscious of this to make sure we are not overtraining our intensity sessions. In general, you will simply switch Saturday's volume workout for Tuesday's intensity session. Ultimately it is your responsibility as athletes to know your training plan and pay attention to what you are doing and how you feel.

Athletes coming from Jericho.. Please take Monday and Tuesday OFF or easy rest (ready run at practice).
