Training Schedule - August 13th to 19th.

Hi Team!
We have an awesome week ahead of us. There are over 50 racers from around Quebec and
Ontario training in the Gatineau Park this week. Both the Quebec and Thunderbay CCC National
Training centres are here to both get a lot of training done and to mentor awesome athletes
such as yourselves. 

For some of the older crew who has been invited to some day trainings during the week,
please see my emails for details. 

We are also hosting the Quebec juvenile camp this weekend! Busy busy.

Because of the amount of logistics happening at the same time this week, I ask that you are
checking the website and emails before practice just in case there is a change.

**Wednesday Biathlon practice will be a range cleaning session with Pierre. Reminder that Chelsea Nordiq is a volunteer run club. The maintenance of our range is dependant on volunteering time towards cleaning. My expectation is that everyone comes out to help.**

Welcome back team! Hope everybody enjoyed their rest week.
We are back at it, starting off with a nice intensity block.
Sunday's practice will be the MEC race happening at Camp Fortune.
I suggest most people register for the 11km. In an intensity block, I don't want anyone racing
longer than that.

I am in Jericho, VT with some members of the race team at the North American Rollerski Championships! Katie will be covering shooting practice while I am away. Since a large portion of the team will be in Vermont & we have limited coach availability this week, Wednesday biathlon practice will be joining Katie in the gym with Nordic Race (no rifles please ;).

July 29th - Aug 5th - Rest Week / No Practices

Hi Team,

Good efforts from everyone over this last training block!
This week is your rest week. It is also our club's scheduled holiday week.
There will be no official training this week, HOWEVER; remember you all have 
training plans that you should be following. Your coaches highly encourage
you to get together with your teammates to accomplish your recovery hours
this week!

Remember, the goal of a recovery week is to make sure you feel rested,
strong and fuelled to start the next block of training. Eat lots of yummy food, 
be responsible with your sleep and physically take care of your bodies (stretch!!!)

Take care and we will see you all back on Tuesday August 7th.

Hi Team,

This week is a Volume week. Please be checking your training plans as all of you have hours 
outside of practice times to be completed. 

Coach Eric and Katie are off with the juniors to Lake Placid this week and Coach Moe will be 
running practices tuesday-thursday this week.

Amy is covering Wednesday's biathlon practice.

Sunday Practice: This sunday we are doing a super awesome combined practice with Nakkertok
up at Camp Fortune. This is a great opportunity to train with different training partners throughout 
our region! Biathletes can shoot during this practice, however you must be at practice HALF an HOUR before the practice time (TBD) ready to zero.

Hi Team,
Hope everyone is feeling well rested and ready to go for our first intensity week of the next cycle.
In this next cycle we are starting to introduce more z3 work as well as rollerskiing.

We are also continuing the theme of Quality practice. 

Please note that coaches are being evaluated this week so make sure to be on time,
be respectful and basically be your normally awesome selves :)

Tuesday we are shooting at the range. Our training plans have zone3 intensity so we are doing our first combo workout with intensity.
The logistics of this practice are very important. To allow ourselves proper warmup we are adding 15minutes to the beginning of practice time. This is for zero. Please be on time, ready to zero at 6:15

Logistics that are important to note this week are for Sunday's practice. We are doing what is called a 'Brick' 
workout. This means we will be running after we rollerski. Make sure to bring running shoes as well as a snack 
and water. If you are on a 500hrs plan, it will be a 3hrs workout. For those on a 400hrs or 450hrs plan, it will
be a 2hrs workout.
