Practice Schedule - Week before Nationals!
The focus of this week is GETTING READY FOR NATIONALS. This means that everything will be very individualized. At practice we will be doing intensity to prepare for our races, BUT with a HUGE focus on recovery. No one should be doing any volume. If you are still not 100% healthy and rested your focus is resting and getting healthy. Training Plan: *Remember to click on the "Nationals prep" tab* Tuesday March 13th (Sr. Boy / Girl - Junior only) Time: 6:15 - 8:00PM Location: Range Activity: Intensity - 4X2-3min Z4 (4-6min recovery) OR (depending on feeling) - 10X 15 sec sprints. Wednesday March 14th (.22 + Racing Bears) Time: 6:15 - 8:00PM Location: Range Activity: Zone 1 combo + confidence shooting. 3X5min Z3 half rest. Thursday March 15th **Nordic race practice** Time: 6:30 - 8:00pm Location: Camp Fortune Activity: 3X5min Z3 half rest. We depart for the last Quebec cup and National on Friday the 16th. The focus of this week is REST & RECOVERY. At this time of year before nationals your primary focus is staying healthy. If you are not healthy stay home and rest, get healthy. Awesome racing this weekend gang! Congrats to everyone! The focus of this week is recovery as we have all been on the road, racing quite a bit lately. If you are still quite tired take Tuesday off. We are having an awesome cabin ski on Thursday with the nordic race gang. This will be a potluck event so please bring food and dessert to share! We are starting from P7 on Thursday night.
