Wed, March 11 - 7 pm at P6

Hi Everyone,
I received a ski report from Phil Townsend who went out this morning.  He said the skiing was stunning!  Trails and parkways are all groomed, including trails 7, 15 and 5.  No problem on the downhills.  Lots of loose, renovated snow.

I would recommend either skate ski, classic with skins or klister.

We will meet at P6 and ski to Pink Lake on the parkway, and take one of the small trails back.

Wed, March 4 @ 7 pm - Meet at P5 for a classic or skate session

Meet at P5 to ski along the parkway.  At parking lot go left and up the hill to ski towards Pink Lake.  If you want you can practice your skate technique.

Wed at 7 pm - lots of new snow, so I suggest starting at P6, left on Trail 15, right on 35 to Pink Lake, turn right on the Gatineau Parkway, left on Champlain Parkway and then right on Trail 7 which will bring you back to P6.

Sat at 10 am - meet at P11 (beginning of Meech Lake).  You will ski Trail 36 behind Meech Lake to the junction of 50 (about 6 km).  You can either turn around and go back or from there you can turn left on 50 and ski another 3 km to Herridge Lodge.

Enjoy your skis!

Wednesday night:  We will meet at P5 and ski up Penguin Hill to  Ridge Road.  Ski along Ridge and maybe catch some of the back country trails on the way back.

Saturday morning:  Meet at P9 at 10 am.  We will go across the road and ski up the Fortune Parkway from P10, then turn right on Trail 3 (Burma) and follow that to Huron Lodge.  Then loop back along Ridge Road (Trail 1), and take the parkway back to P9.

On Saturday, we can discuss when to have a potluck dinner at a cabin!

We will meet at P6 and do a loop.  Start from P6, then take a left on Trail #15, right on Trail #35, then left on the parkway.  Eventually turn right on Trail #7 back to P6.

I will be sending out a long email about this weekend's ski.  There will be several options for a Point A to B ski, starting a P17.
